Here’s an update from Principal Suarez regarding the uniform surveys:

“After counting nearly 550 ballots, Westchase Elementary will remain a non-uniform school next year. Many questions came up around this vote. Every year, our SAC committee votes on this policy. Depending on the outcome of that vote, the teachers are then surveyed. After those results come in, it then may or may not go to families to vote on. This year, our SAC committee voted in favor of uniforms, and the teachers did as well. This then went to the community to vote where it needed to pass with a rate of 75%.

Questions also came up around what the uniforms would be or what they would look like. Please know that this decision would be one that SAC would advise and work through. In the future, if we would move to uniforms, there would be many options. Thank you for participating!”
